About Red Tent Mystery School
We are a global community of sisterhood. Our trainings & programs for women & girls are designed to bring us back into balance with the cycles of nature and with self; a bridge between the ancient ways of our ancestors and modern wisdom. Our curriculum is steeped in spiritual, scientific & mystical knowledge to assist women in re-membering their soul’s signature essence and boldly deepening their service to humanity.
Our school was founded to empower girls in creating healthy relationships to themselves and others, through teachings of the Red Tent Mysteries. Our commitment is to help women of all ages understand and embrace the changes of puberty, menstruation, sexuality, pregnancy, birth and menopause. As well as to honour the cycles of life and death, through exploring the feminine archetypes and our connection to the Divine. Our school guides Rite of Passage ceremonies for girls & women to honour the sacredness of their first bleed, as well as the transitions from maiden to mother, and mother to crone, acknowledging the powerful ripples this has within the web of life.

HERSTORY & SIGNIFICANCE OF THE RED TENT
The red tent, also known as a moon lodge is traditionally a place for women to come together to bleed, pray and support each other. Our ancestors were in greater connection with the rhythms of the earth and it was common for them to bleed together, in sync with the cycles of the new moon. Women would honour this sacred moontime and access their power and intuition which is heightened at the time of menstruation and the dark of the moon.
Red tents were sacred spaces symbolic of the womb and found cross-culturally. Entering into the red tent is like entering into the womb. Hearing the drum beating is like hearing the heartbeat of the earth; of the great mother, returning to where we came from. Entering the energetics of the wombspace can bring altered states of consciousness, and allow women to dream, rest and receive insight from the spiritual realms. It was believed that the information received while women bled benefitted the whole community. The time of bleeding is a time of great power, sacredness and insight and the red tent was a safe haven of solace, great rest and comfort. A place of being and not doing. Women would bleed into the earth with prayers and emerge out of the red tent; out of the womb with greater ability to support their community through sacred purpose and with a renewed sense of self.
The emergence of the red tent is rising as women honour their sacred moontime and realize the power it holds; as we rise into our divinity. As we deeply honour ourselves, each other, the earth and the moon. The modern-day red tent is a space for women of all ages to gather (whether in their bleeding time or not) to share and learn about ancient feminine wisdom and the blood mysteries. When women come together to witness and support one another, their prayers and intentions for themselves and the collective are amplified.

Madison Desjarlais is a womb healer and highly renowned birth attendant in the lower mainland area of British Columbia. She is the creatrix behind the Ode To Birth community and assists many women on their journey from Maiden into Mother. Her high vibrational offerings including monthly La Luna Gathering’s, Village Prenatal Circles, and private healing sessions to offer those with a womb a sacred foundation. She trusts all women can birth ideas, projects, and the future generation of children in full sovereignty. She has awakened deep innate wisdom, forming a masterful tool box of both scientific and spiritual knowledge, supporting her clients to radically shift their lives, from the inside out. Her passion is fueled by facilitating rite of passage ceremonies, working alchemically with the rose, and guiding women to integrate their shadows, embody their wholeness and help them return to their original blueprint of innocence. Sakura Rose is a ceremonialist, feminine embodiment guide and womb mentor. She is devoted to assisting others in their sacred transformations. Sakura is a past business coach, industrial designer and world-renowned entrepreneur that pivoted five years ago to delve deep within the mystery teachings of the divine feminine to heal trauma imprints within her womb. She has been dedicated to deepening in womb wisdom, healing and reclamation and her priestess path within the rose sisterhood lineage. Sakura facilitates Red Tent ceremonies and is a plant spirit practitioner working with the medicines of kambo, flower essences and herbalism and is the founder of Divinity Rising.
